Since 1723… In the hamlet of Brumnovščak in the village of Godemarci, a house with a wine cellar was built - still standing today. Its first owner was the Loparnik family, who laid the foundations for a long-standing winemaking tradition in this piece of Prlekija land.

The house was taken over by the Sterniša estate owners from Godemarci. In it lived winemakers - sub-tenant families, who carefully performed work in the vineyard. In 1895, a wine press was installed next to the house, which further strengthened the importance of viticulture on the estate.

After three generations of living on the estate, the care for the last owner Matilda was taken over by the Zmazek family from Radoslavci. With this, the farm, along with the vine and the house, passed into new hands - at the Zmazek family farm, where crops had been carefully cultivated and livestock raised for many years.

We replaced the old grapevines with new plantings: semi-sweet varieties of chardonnay, sauvignon, and yellow muscat began to write a new story. Wines from our vineyards have already brought several awards and recognitions.

The farm's successor, son Boro, together with his wife Marjetka and their three sons, renovated the old buildings in Godemarci. In 2018 we planted cherry trees, in 2020 we built a deer enclosure, while also expanding the farm's activities to include beekeeping.

The Zmazek family begins a new chapter - in the hamlet of Brumnovščak, a supplementary activity comes to life: tourist accommodation Wellness hiška Jelenov grič, where nature, tradition, and modern rural living intertwine.
